★ CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY 【カリフォルニア・スピードウェイ】
今回のトピックはカリフォルニア・スピードウェイ「CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY」。ロサンゼルスダウンタウンより車でI-10フリーウェイを東へ約1時間。のどかな小高い山に囲まれたカルフォルニア州ロサンゼルス郊外フォンタナに、スピードを競うカリフォルニア・スピードウェイがある。
今回この場所にて、決勝レース:12/18 JGTC All-Star 200 (87周/321.9km)、12/19 JGTC All-Star Sprint(24分)としてJGTCオールスター戦「GT LIVE USA JGTC 2004 ALL Star California Speedway」が開催された。JGTCにとっては、アメリカ初開催の貴重なレースとなった。
この貴重なレースに、参戦するRE雨宮レーシングのレーサーご家族に弊社スタッフが同行させて頂いた。弊社始って以来のトピックのため、大変思い出深い取材となったことは言うまでもない。
2005年も数多くスピードを競うレースが、ここカリフォルニア・スピードウェイで開催される。ロサンゼルスの旅の想い出をここで作るのも素敵ではないだろうか。（イベント情報は下記参照）
